Hello! My name is Erika. I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I also live in a farm near Yorkton during the summer. I’m going into my second year of university this fall. I’ve always been a musical person, singing before I could even talk. I started doing voice lessons in grade four and I joined band classes in grade five, even going on to join my school’s rock band in grade nine. I did all of these activities until I finished grade twelve. fun fact, I can play 10 instruments! I joined The Chords of Care because I believe that everyone should have the chance to experience live music and to share it with other people. Music is very powerful and there are so many ways to express yourself through music. Outside of music, I teach swimming lessons and I work as a lifeguard. I enjoy being outside and spending time with my friends and family. If you’re thinking of picking up an instrument or wanting to join music lessons, do it! Music is very good for your brain, and it’s something that can be shared with everyone. No wonder music is called the universal language!
